Brian: an internal career journey at SONAMIA
At SONAMIA, we place great importance on internal development and the transfer of skills. Brian’s career path is a great example of this.
Having joined SONAMIA in 2018, Brian now works in product quality monitoring. Over seven years, he has explored several roles and gradually built his expertise, while also actively contributing to company life as a member of the company’s Social and Economic Committee (CSE).
From assembly to the workshop
Brian’s journey at SONAMIA began in 2018 in the assembly department, where he assembled tyres and complete wheel units. Over two years, he developed a strong understanding of the products, assembly processes, and the day-to-day realities on the shop floor.
This first experience gave him a hands-on understanding of customer needs and how the company operates in practice.
A first step into quality
In 2020, Brian moved into the quality department as a quality assistant. Over the course of three years, he worked on handling customer returns, sampling new products, and monitoring tyre performance.
This role allowed him to broaden his skill set and deepen his understanding of both the products and their real-world applications.
Since 2023: product quality monitoring
Since 2023, Brian has held the position of product quality monitoring specialist. His role involves tracking product performance, analysing field feedback, and contributing to continuous improvement, ensuring customers benefit from solutions that are increasingly tailored to their needs.
His career path perfectly illustrates the importance of hands-on experience at SONAMIA: knowing the products, understanding how they are used, and staying closely connected to user expectations are essential parts of the job.
